Ilha de Madeira

I spent a week on the island of Madeira with some good photographer friends in the spring of 2018. I don't think we could have crammed in any more activities as we were up everyday from sunrise to sunset exploring the amazing island. My favourite day was towards the end when we had whale watching in the afternoon before making a mad dash to Madeira's highest point for sunset. That was a day of contrasts. My least favourite was the night when the ceramic floor tiles in my room started buckling from excessive moisture. Sounded like the house was going to collapse!
